RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL

A RESOLUTION DIRECTING THE ORONO PUBLIC
WORKS DEPARTMENT TO PLACE NO PARKING SIGNS
ON CERTAIN STREETS IN THE CITY OF ORONO.
WHEREAS , the City of Orono has received complaints from the
residents in the Sandy Beach area of a safety hazard being created by
vehicles parking on certain streets in the Sandy Beach area , and
WHEREAS , the City of Orono staff has reviewed the complaints
of a potential safety hazard on those streets in the Sandy Beach area ,
and
WHEREAS , the Orono staff has determined that certain streets
in the Sandy Beach area are not of adequate width to accommodate park-
ing .
NOW THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED that the Orono City Council
does hereby direct the Orono Public Works Department to place no
� parking signs on the following streets in Orono .
l . Maple Place from North Shore Drive to Cherry Avenue
west side Qnly .
2 . Cherry Avenue from Minnie Avenue to a point three
hundred feet east of Mapie Place on both sides of
the road . �
