All construction• unless otherwise noted, is to be performed in strict
sccordsnce irith the provisions of MN Rules, Part 7080, Individual Sewage
Treatment Systems Standards. Any deviation from this design shall be
approved in %rriting by the owner or his representative.
The drainfisld treatment area will be staked out by the owner or his
representative before construction. Construction vehicle traffic within
this area shall be limited to backhoe and/or small tracked vehicles before,
during, and after construction.
\
Trench construction shall not occur if soil moisture has reached or
surpassed plastic limit.
Trench bottoms and rock shall be installed level and parallel to surface
contours as nearly as possible.
Only clean, insoluble rock 3/4" to 2 1/2" mean diameter shalli be Installed
in trenches. t
Sewer pipe shall be 4" diameter, schedule 40 PVC or of greater strength.
Distribution pipe shall be 4** diameter PVC with a minimum 1,000 lbs.
crushing strength and one row of 1/2" diameter holes spaced no greater than
36" apart and installed at the 6 o'clock position. Pipes shall be
installed level with a slope variance of no more than 2" in 50* down and
away from drop boxes.
Drop box inlets and outlets shall be as noted in the drawings.
Drop boxes shall be installed on firm, natural soil as will sewer pipe
connecting drop boxes.
Trench rock shall be covered with 4" of straw and untreated building paper
or a thin, permeable, synthetic fabric from trench wall to trench wall
leaving no rock uncovered.
Capped inspection pipes shall be Installed at the end of each trench as
noted in the drawings. Pipes shall extend 4" above final grade.
The septic tank shall be a vertical sidewall, watertight,
corrosion-resist^t, one-piece, precast concrete tank with gasketed lid.
The lid shall ha^ a miniinim 20" diameter manhole burled between 6" and 12"
deep and 4" dapped inspection pipes extending 4^' above grade, centered over
the inlet and outlet baffles as noted in the drawings. J
Septic tank baffles shall be made of acid resistant plastic or fiberglass
and attached with at least four corrosion-resistant connections per baffle.
4" *tary tees may be used in place of baffles.
Final grauing upslope of the drainfield area shall provide for diversion of
runoff away from the drainfield, as shall grading around the septic tank.
15. Turf establishment shall be the responsibility of the owner.
