DREN HOMES LOT 4, BLOCK 1, McCULLEY FARMS Orono, Minnesota 5-6-85 On May 2-3, 1985 six percolation holes were tested and three soil borings ..en on the above property in order to determine suitable drainfield sites for both a primary system and a possible future alternate site. Testing was done under the provisions of Individual Sewage Treatment Systems Standards (WPC-40). Originally some soil borings were taken to the southwest of the proposed house, but because of water running in the holes it was decided to test at the higher flat area to the northeast of the house. While the soils here were fairly good, there still was enough of a water table .so that a shallow trench system would be needed on the primary site(holes 1-4) and a mound on the alt- ternate site. Also, the use of an interceptor draintile is recommended to divert runoff water from the drainfield site and lower the water table. This may preclude the use of a mound on the alternate site in the future. Additional system design information follows. If any other information is needed, please contact me. Sincerely, PERCOR, INC. Percolation Rate, Type of System. 1/.% m-nutes per inch on the primary site(holes 1-4), Shallow Trench System. 2. Proposed Flow Rate. 4 bedrooms @ 150 C.P.D. is 600 G.P.D. 3. Soil Treatment Area Required. 2.00 percolation rate x 6.0 G.P.D. is 600 C.P.D. 4. Size an9 Number of Trenches. 4 trenches 3 feet wide and 100 feet long is 1200 Sq. Ft. These trenches would be spaced a minimum of 7.: feet apart center to center and be no deeper than 0.8 feet deep in the natural soil unless the interceptor drain lowers the water table to at least 3 feet below the bottom of the lowest drainfield trench. 5. Drainfield Rock Needed. 44.4 cubic yds, of rock is needed to have 6 inches under a„d 2 inches over a 4 inch distribution pipe. 6. Septic Tanks. Two septic tanks each of 1000 gallons are recommended.
