A RESOLUTIOYI REnUESTING
NORTH MEMORIAL AMBULANCE SERVICE
WHEREAS, the: City of Orono recognizes a need for advanced
life support services in emergency medical services. North Memorial
Ambulance has been our primary provider, and
� WHEREAS�, our fire and police services are trained to give
� basic life support services, but North Memorial Ambulance Service
is the closest advanced life support to this community, and
WHEREAS, North Memorial Ambizlance Service has the backup
capabilities of six advanced life support units, trained paramedics,
chaplin services, training capabilities for our police and fire
services, and an experienced, well trained emergency staff.
PdOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Orono formally requests the State Board of Health and
� the State Hearing Examiner to grant Pdorth Memorial Ambulance Service,
as a primary provider, a license for a base of operations in Long
Lake,Minnesota. �
ADOPTED BY THE City Council of the City of Orono, l�Zinnesota at a
regular meeting held August 14, 1979.
