City Ordinance No. 210 requires that each on-site sewage treatment system in Orono be inspected on a
regular basis. I have inspected the on-site sewage treatment facilities at the above address and find the system
classified as:
CONFORMING. Meets ail the location, design, and construction standards of the Design Manual and
is operating satisfactorily. Careful maintenance of your system should ensure continued
satisfactory operation.

SUBSTANDARD. Does not meet all the design, location, or construction standards of the Design
Manual but is operating satisfactorily. Your system must be inspected yearly and may require
reconstruction at a future date if found to be failing.
NON-CONFORMING. Does not meet all location, design, or construction standards, is being overused,
or is failing to properly dispose of the current input and is therefore creating a public nuisance,
endangering a water supply, is a source of pollution to surface or ground waters, or is creating
a safety hazard. YOUR SYSTEM MUST BE RELOCATED AND/OR MADE CONFORMING
WITHIN ONE YEAR FROM THE DATE OF THIS INSPECTION. Please complete the enclos
ed application form and submit the required materials for review and approval. Your contrac
tor must obtain a permit before work is started.
I Septic tanks must be pumped within 48 hours.
I Drainfield must be repaired, altered, or replaced within 90 days.
