Your reason for sending us this notice was to ascertain whether the City should appear at the land registration hearing because it was cited as having an interest in the land per the Examiner's Report. In September of 1980, the City deeded Lots 8 and 9 of Block 3 in Navarre Heights to Mr. Reder after the City acquired both lots due to tax forfeiture. Three deeds were recorded with the Hennepin County Recorder on September 12, 1980 establishing title to Lots 8 and 9 in Mr. Reder's name. In the Examiner's Report, a copy of which is attached, please note the examiner's discussion of the City's interest on page 2, paragraph (b). I spoke to Mr. Richard Little who did the examination and asked him about Orono's interest as cited. He stater that Mr. Reder had title to Lots 8, 9 and 10 barring any tax lien foreclosure interest the City may have. When I asked Mr. Little specifically about Lot 10, he stated that Lot 10 went into tax forfeiture twice. The first time it went into tax forfeiture, the City of Orono claimed an interest in the
