SUBJECT: Requested Release of Tax -Forfeit Property
We have received two new requests for release of tax forfeit property.
All lots were reviewed by the City in 1977.
A. Donna Kabanuk, 2140 Kenwood Way (Exhibit A) owns Lot 2, Block 1
(17-117-23 41 0002) and parcel to rear (17-117-23 41 0031).
Wishes to acquire tax lot 1, block 1 (17-117-23 41 0001) for
combination into one building site. Combined lot area would
be close to (if not greater than) 80% of the 1/2 acre zoning
requirement. Lot 1 was assessed for 1 unit water plus footage.
I recommend adoption of the attached resoluti_^n to permit
Hennepin County to release the land for sale at this time.
B. Ha rsey Reder, 3585 Crystal Place (Exhibit B) owns a home on
Lots 13 & 14 at 3598 Livingston. He also says he owns Lot 10
on Crystal Place although the 1979 tax book lists Lot 10 as tax
forfeit also. Wishes to acquire tax lots 8 & 9, block 3 for
combination with lot 10 into one building site. T 8, 9 & 10
combined equal 1/2 acre. Lots 8 and 9 (combined) «v--e assessed
for 1 water unit and 1 sewer plant charge. Lot 10 also had 1
water unit and 1 sewer plant charge.
I recomm-nd adoption of the attached resolution to permit Hennepin
County to releast the lots for sale at this time.
