I have contacted Larry Skjei with regard to Lots 8 & 9, Block 3,
Parcels 1800 0 1850, Plat 427,40, Navarre Heights, known as 3567
Crystal Place. On May 27, 1(i68, it was resolved by Resolution
240 of the Council that the owner of this property should correct
the hazardous condition thereon.
You are familiar with the situation on this property as related
by Larry Skjei in his letter of May 23, 1968, to you. I have
spoken with Mr. Skjei on the phone, and he tells me that a
Clifford Bjork of Navarre has taken over possession as of May 31,
1968, with the intention of correcting the hazardous condition
thereon. If Mr. Bjork is truly willing to fix the property up,
I do not feel that we should start condemnation proceedings under
the 1965 hazardous building law until he has a chance to do so.
I suggest that you contact Mr. Bjork so that you might inspect
his restoration of the premises and see that it is done satisfactorily.
This matter will, therefore, be held in abeyance until further word
from you.
