Dear 1.
',r. Jacot s:
I am writing this letter as you surrested to document our
conversation of last weed: and my concerns over the current con-
struction ta):i n _mace at '1215 Crystal Bay Road ( the Haverberg
property).
As I indicated to you I own the property at 3235 Crystal
Bay Road which shares a cor-mon property line with the 1tHaverberg
property".
A screen porch has been constructed over an existing slab
within the last year, which I do not have any problems with. My
concerns lie in the fact that I would not like any further improve-
ments made upon the screen porch (i.e. a three -seasons porch or
permanent living space) for a number of reasons some of which are
as follows:
The existing screen porch is no more than
3-4 feet from our common property line -
at a maximum. I am not sure this is in com-
pliance with current building ordiances. I
am sure it would restrict anything I might
do to improve my own property.
The position of the screen porch is set
ahead of my house. As I indicated to you this
is no problem at this point in time since the
screen porch F-?ves the illusion of not being
there (i.e. you can see through it). I would
not appreciate the porch being developed
further, as mentioned above, since it would
then restrict the view from my property.
The drainage off the porch roof must effect
my property simply because it is so close to
the lot line.
From our conversation I understand that proper permits have
not bean obtained for the construction of the existing screen porch
and you are currently trying to resolve this problem.
Because the "Haverberg property" is now for sale I am
extremely interested and concerned about any improvements a new
owner might make because of the relatively small amount of
livable floor space.
I am asking that this letter be placed in your files concerning
the "Haverberg property" so that any additional construction can
be closely monitored to see that proper variances are adhered to.
Because permits have not yet been issued for the screen porch I
ask that a restriction be placed on the permit when it is finally
issued, so that no additional improvements can be made to develope
the porch further.
I thank you for the time you spent talking to me. I feel
better knowing that efforts to resolve the situation are being
pursued.
