FOR HER OUTSTANDING EFFORTS
TO ENSURE ACCURATE AND TIMELY REPORTING
OF CITY-RELATED ISSUES AND ACTIVITIES
DURING HER TENURE WITH THE SUN SAILOR NEWSPAPER
RESOLUTION NO. 5104
WHEREAS, the City of Orono and its citizens rely on the local
newspapers to be a key source of information regarding City-related activities and
issues; and
WHEREAS, Anne Wilbur has been the Community Editor for the Orono,
Long Lake, Wayzata edition of the Sun Sailor newspaper; and
WHEREAS, in her capacity as Community Editor, Anne Wilbur has
ensured timely and accurate coverage of the key activities and issues related to
Orono; and
WHEREAS, Anne Wilbur has developed and maintained productive.
working relationships and open communication channels, while also maintaining
� journalistic integrity and professionalism; and
WHEREAS, Anne Wilbur is leaving the Sun Sailor for a new career
opportunity.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED that the Orono City Council
does hereby recognize Anne Wilbur for her outstanding efforts to ensure accurate
and timely reporting of City-related issues and activities during her tenure with the
Sun Sailor newspaper, and does also wish her the best in her new career endeavor.
Adopted by the City Council of Orono,Minnesota at a regular meeting held
this 26�'day of January, 2004. �
