A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE APPLICATION OF �
,
� GIRLS RUGBY ASSOCIATION OF MINNESOTAJORONO GIRLS RUGBY TEAM
� FOR A ONE DAY MINNESOTA LAWFUL GAMSLING EXEMPT RAFFLE
�
� .

i WHEREAS, the Girls Rugby Association of Minnesota/Orono Girls Rugby Teazn
�� has applied to the State of Minnesota Gainbling Control Board for a Miru�esota Lawful Gambling
, Exempt Permit (Raffle) to conduct lawful gambling activities; and
k
� WHEREAS, an Exempt Permit may be issued by the Minnesota Gambling
iControl Board to nonprofit organizations conducting lawful gambling activity on five or fewer
j days, and awarding less than$50,000 in prizes during a calendar year; and

• , WHEREAS, the Girls Rugby Association of Minnesota/Orono Girls Rugby Team
; proposes to conduct a,one day gambling activity(raffle) as part of a Home Game Fair and Family
� i Day Fund Raiser to be held at the Rugby Fielc�on the Orono School Grounds located at 795 Old
Crystal Bay Road on Wednesday,May 11, 2005 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.; and
. ( .
WHEREAS,the Girls Rugby Association of Minnesota/Orono Girls Rugby Team
� is required to obtain approval of the gambling activity from the city in which the activity will
,
� occur.
� NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Orono City Council does
hereby approve the application for a Minnesota Lawful Gambling Exempt Permit(Raffle) for the
� Girls Rugby Association of Minnesota/Orono Girls Rugby Team to conduct a one day gambling
: activity(raffle} at the Rugby Field on the Orono School Grounds located at 795 Old Crystal Bay
; Road on Wednesday,May 11, 2005. �
