A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE
WEST FARM (HOMESTEAD) AREA .
SANITARY SEWER IMPROV�MENTS ASSESSMENT ROLL
, .
WHEREAS, ptusuant to proper notice duly given as required by law,the Council
has met and heard and passed u�on all objectioils to the proposed assessinent for the improveinent of
sanitary sewer in the West I'arm (Homestead) area.
NOW, THEI2EFOItE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of Orono,
Mitinesota:
1. Such proposed assessinent, a copy of which is attached hereto and inade 1 pai-t liereof, is
hereby accepted and sliall coiistitute the special assessment against the lat�ds named therein,
and each tract of land therein inchided is hereby fouild to be benefited by the proposed .
• improvernent in the ainount of the assessment levied against it.
2. Sttch assessment shall be payable in equal annual installments extending over a period of 15
� years, the first of the installments to Ue payable on or before the first Monday in January
2005 and shall bear interest at the rate oi'6.25%per annum froin the date of fihe adoptioil of
this assessment resolution. To the first installment shall be added interest on the entire
assessment fiom the date of tliis resolution until December 31, 2005. To eacl� subsequent
installment when due shall be added interest for one year on all Lulplid instalhnents.
3. Tlie owner of any property so assessed may, at any time prior to certification of the
assessnzent to the Cotuity Auditor,pay the whole of the assessment on such property,with
interest accrued to the date of payment,to the City Treasurer,except that no ii�terest sha11 be
charged if the entire assessmeiit is l�aid within thirry (30) days from the adoption of this
resolution;and he may, at anytime thereafter,pay to the City Treasurer the entire ainount of
the assessment remaining unpaid,with interest accrued to December 31 of the year in wluch ,
such payinent is made. Such payment must be nnade before November 15 or iiiterest will be �
clzarged through December 31 of the next succeeding year. Partial prepayment may be
allowed in accordance with ordinances which are existing or which the City may choose to
adopt in the fiiture.

4. The Clerlc shall foi-thwith transmit a certified duplicate of this assessinent to the Coiuity
Auditor to be extended on the property tax lists of fihe Couiity. Such assesszilents shall be �
� collected and paid over in tlie same manner as other municipal taxes.
