A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE APPLICATION OF
HOPE CHEST FOR BREAST CANCER FOUNDATTON
FOR A ONE DAY MINNESOTA LAWFUL GAMBLING EXCLUDED RA.FFLE
WHEREAS,the Hope Chest for Breast Cancer Foundation has applied to the State of
Miru7esota Gambling Control Board for a Minnesota Lawful Gambling Excluded Raffle to conduct
lawful gambling activities; and
WHEREAS, an excluded raffle may be conducted by tlus organization if the total
market(retail) value of all raffle prizes awarded in a calendar year does not exceed$1500; and
WHEREAS,the Hope Chest for Breast Cancer Foiuldation proposes to conduct a bne �
• day gambling activity (raffle) as part of a private party to be held at 3850 Shoreline Drive on
September 30, 2004; and
WHEREAS, the Hope Chest for Breast Cancer Foundation is required to obtain
approval of the gambling activity from the city in which the activity will occur.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED,the Orono City Council does hereby
approve the application for a Minnesota Lawful Gambling Excluded Raffle for the Hope Chest for
Breast Caneer Foundation to conduct a one day gambling activity(raffle)at 3850 Shoreline Drive on
September 30, 2004.
