A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT
OF TRANSPORTATION TO CONDUCT A TRAFFIC STUDY
ON CERTAIN STREETS IN THE CITY OF ORONO
WHEREAS, on June 27, 1977, the City of Orono
received a petition from the citizens in Orono requesting
a lowering of the speed limit on Willow Drive from 40 MPH
to '30, MPH, and
WHEREAS, the City of Orono's staff has reviewed
the situation, and
WHEREAS, the City staff also feels other city
streets have a 40 MPH speed limit, and over the years, have
become more residential because of development.
NOW, THEREFORE.. BE IT RESOLVED that the City of
Orono does hereby request the Minnesota Department of Trans-
portation to conduct a traffic study, on the following city
streets in the City of Orono, and to report back to the City
of Orono the findings of that study.
Willow Drive, from the north boundary line
at the City of Medina south to Fox Street.
• Watertown Road, from Willow Drive west to
County Road #6.
Old Crystal Bay Road, from County Road #6
to Fox Street.
Fox Street, from Old Crystal Bay Road east
to Orono Orchard Road.
North Ferndale Road, from County Road #6
to State Highway #12.
