RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE OFFICIAL
BIKEIVAYS-IVALb'WAYS SYSTEM MAP FOR
THE CITY OF ORONO
WHEREAS, the City of Orono has reviewed the park, recreation
and transportation plans for the City of Orono, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the City of
Orono needs to develop a bikeways -walkways system as soon as possible
to promote the general health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of
Orono by providing bikeways and walkways along the roadways to eliminate
the presently dangerous joint use of the roadways by bicycle riders,
pedestrians and motorized vehicles, and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that there is a great
demand for bikeways and walkways along certain roadways to facilitate
the use of the recreational assets within Orono,
• NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council adopts
the attached map as the Official Bikeways -Walkways System Map for the
City of Orono.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono, Hennepin County,
Minnesota at a regular meeting held February 25, 1975.
