A RESOLUTION PROCLAMING YOUNG LIFE DAY
WHEREAS, the Young Life organization, through Christian concern and
tireless efforts of the young adult leaders, has served the
high school youth of the area in countless ways;
WHEREAS, the parents of the community whose children's lives have been
touched and other adults who have come to know the work of
the Young Life staff are deeply grateful for their efforts;
WHEREAS, from August 1 through 14 the parents and adults in the community
will implement the first fund-raising compaign to finance the
Young Life mission;
THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Orono, Minnesota, does
hereby proclaim the day of Saturday, August 3, to be designated
YOUNG LIFE DAY
. AND THEREFORE, extend the hope for success of this special day and for
the fund campaign.
Adopted by the City of Orono, Minnesota at a regular meeting held
July 23, 1974.
