Village Council of the Village of Orono,
• Hennepin County, Minnesota
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting
of the Village Council of the Village of Orono was held at the
Village Hall in said Village on Monday, the 24th day of September,
1973, at 7:30 o'clock P,M.
The Mayor, Village Clerk -Administrator and the following
Councilmen were present: Butler, Massengale, Dorn, & Welsh
and the following were absent: None
• Councilman Massengale introduced the following
resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION #512
RESOLUTION RECEIVING REPORT
AND CALLING HEARING ON SANITARY
SEWER IMPROVEMENT NO, 73=1
WHEREAS, this Council has requested Orr-Shelen-Mayeron and
Associates, Inc., consulting engineers, to report with reference to
the construction of a trunk and lateral sewer system, Sanitary Sewer
Improvement No. 73-1, and said engineers have reported to the Council
that the improvement is feasible, that the improvement should be made
as proposed and not in connection with some other improvement and that
the estimated cost is $5,025,000,00,
BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of
Orono, Minnesota, as follows:
1� A public hearing on said proposed improvement shall be
held at the Orono Middle School, Old Crystal Bay Road north of S.T,H,
#12 on Thursday, October 18, 1973, at 7:30 o'clock P.M. at which
time the Council shall meet to hear and consider objections to the
improvement as proposed, which hearing will be continued to November 1,
1973 and November 8, 1973 to give all concerned parties adequate
40 opportunity to be heard.
20 The Village Clerk shall give two weeks' notice of the
time and place of hearing by publication in the official newspaper,
the last publication to be at least three days before the hearing,
and by mailing as required by law,
3. Said notice shall set forth the general nature, the
estimated cost, and the proposed area to be assessed, as descri- ed
in the Preliminary Report and accompanying maps on fil ,--t

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution
was duly seconded by Councilman Butler , and'upon
vote being taken thereon the followi.ng,voted AYE: 5
and the following voted NAY: 0
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted
and the Mayor being present approved the same by affixing
his signature thereto.
