RESOLUTION # 499
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE
PURCHASE OF VOTING MACHINES
WHEREAS, the Village of Orono wishes to provide for the
use of voting machines in the four precincts of the Village at
all elections to be held therein, and
WHEREAS, the purchase of three voting machines for each
of the four precincts of the Village will meet the statutory
standard of one voting machine for no more than each 600 voters,
and
WHEREAS, the Village wishes to use federal revenue sharing
funds for the purchase of such voting machines. '
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Village Adminis-
trator be authorized to initiate the appropriate procedures for 1
the purchase of twelve voting machines to be paid for from federal
revenue sharing funds returned to the Village.
Adopted by the Village Council of the Village of Orono, Minnesota
by a vote of 4 ayes and 0 nays at a
regular meeting held June 11, 1973.
