A RESOLUTION TO DESIGNATE JANUARY 7, 1972 AS
FRANZEL AND SEARLES DAY.IN ORONO
WHEREAS, Richard Franzel and Robert Searles have contributed
freely and selflessly of .their time and experience, and
WHEREAS, their concern for the quality of life has made them
pioneers in the field of ecology and the preservation of Lake
Minnetonka, and
WHEREAS, it is the desire and wish of the citizens of our Village
to honor Richard Franzel and Robert Searles for their contribution,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that January 7, 1972, will be set
aside as Richard Franzel and Robert Searles Day and as the day
that the citizens shall -honor these men for their contribution to
the development of our Village.
Adopted by the Village Council of the Village of Orono, Minnesota,
at a -regular meeting held December 27, 1971.
