A RESOLUTION AUTHORLZING PAYMENT OF A SUM OF
MONEY FOR ADDITIONAL SERVICES RENDERED
LAYNE MINNESOTA
WHEREAS, Layne Minnesota was required to expend extra labor and
materials above the contract specifications for Deep Well No. 1 due
to unusual geological problems; and
WHEREAS, the unusual geological problems caused Layne Minnesota to
take a greater length of time to complete the wzl.l than indicated in
the terms of the contract; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Orono and Layne Minnesota entered into a
change -order agreement on April 22, 1971, for said additional work
while leaving the question of cost to the Village open for subsequent
negotiation; and
WHEREAS, the Village -of Orono and -Layne Minnesota have agreed that the
fair and reasonable value of said work to the Village of Orono if
$15,600.00; and
WHEREAS, Layne Minnesota has agr.e:e.d to accept the sum-, of $15,600.00
from the Village of Orono in full and complete sett.jpment•,for the cost
of said work;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that:
1. The Treasurer for the Village of Orono shall direct'a check to
} Layne Minnesota Company in the amount of $15,600.00 in full and complete
settlement, accord and satisfaction for invoices numbered N-1, N-2 and
N-.3 and dated July 14, 1971.
2. No penalty'is to be imposed for the failure of Layne Minnesota to
complete the well within the period specified in -the contract except
any work still remaining to be done shall be completed within a
reasonable period of time.
Adopted by the Village Council of the Village of Orono, Minnesota at a
regular meeting held September 27, 1971.

A RESOLUTION AMENDING ASSESSMENTS
FOR SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT 1965LS-1
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL of the Village of Orono, Minnesota,
as follows:
