A RESOLUTION MODIFYING EXISTIN,, ONTRACT WITH
HOFFMAN BROS. CONSTRUCTION COMP�N AND ADDING
THERETO ON A UNIT PRICE BASIS THE W R IMPROVEMENTS IN A
PORTION OF CASCO POINT INCLUDING CASCO CIRCLE, IVY
PLACE AND AN AREA CONSISTING OF FIVE HOMES ON COUNTY
ROAD 51 -TO THE HENDRICKSEN BRIDGE AREA OF ORONO FOR*
1970LW-1B
WHEREAS, the Village of Orono has'an existing contract with
Hoffman Bros. Construction Company, dated November 23, 1970, said
contract being let pursuant to statute and after advertising for bids, and
WHEREAS, said contract was awarded on a unit price basis and
it is now the desire of the Council to include additional units at the
same unit price to complete the.water improvements in the following area:
A portion of Casco Point including Casco Circle, Ivy
Place and an area consisting of five homes on County
Road 51 to the Hendricksen Bridge area of Orono -
WHEREAS, the additional units do not exceed 25% of the original
contract, price , and..,.
WHEREAS, the contractor, Hoffman Bros. Construction Company,
has agreed to add such additional units at the same unit price and all
in accordance with Chapter 429.041;.Subd....7y of Minnesota Laws.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by�the Village Council of the
Village of Orono as follows:
1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed
to enter into p'contract with Hoffman Bros. ;Construction Company for
additional un,i�-s of work, at• a-, co•st-• of•. .$.7.7,000, in the name of the
Village of Orono,for, the.aforps.aid improvements, according to the plans
and specific,ation�sr. ola;-fide•, in. t1h-e, office of the Clerk.
2. The contractor shall file an increased bond to cover the
full contractual amount and the contractor's written agreement to add
to the existing contract, at the same -unit price as the original contract,
shall be placed on file with the Clerk and made a part of the original
contract, all in accordance with Chapter 429.041, Subd. 7., of Minnesota
Laws.
Adopted by the Village Council•of the Village of Orono, Minnesota, at
a regular meeting held July 26, 1971. j
