2. A copy of this Resolution shall be sent to Northern States Power
Company with the request for a response from Northern States Power
Company.
Adopted by the Village Council of the Village of Orono, Minnesota at a
regular meeting held May 24, 1971.

RESOLUTION #395
A RESOLUTION COMMENDING WARD,PARTEN
WHEREAS, the passing of Ward Parten, who so wholeheartedly
gave time and energy in service on the Park and Planning Commission,
has been a.great loss -to the Village.
BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of
Orono, Minnesota, as follows:
1. That the residents of the Village, through
their duly elected representatives, extend to
the family of Ward Parten their deep sympathy.
2. That the Clerk -Administrator be hereby directed
to send to the family of Ward Parten a copy of
this resolution.
The motion for the adoption.of the foregoing resolution was duly made
by Councilman Searles and seconded by Councilman McCarthy, and upon
vote being taken thereon the following voted in favor thereof:
Mayor Oberhauser, Councilmen McCarthy and Searles. Councilmen Dorn and
Franzel absent.
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted at a
regular meeting held May 24, 1971.
