Home My WebLink AboutResolution 391F, RESOLUTION #391 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING TAKING OF LAND BY EMINENT DOMAIN FOR WATER MAIN PURPOSES WHEREAS, The Village Engineer has recommended the acquisition of land for water main purposes in connection with the Navarre Water Project (1970LW-1), and it appears to the Village Council that it is necessary for the Village to acquire such land; NOW, THEREFORE, ITIS RESOLVED as follows: 1) That it is hereby determined that the taking of the parcels more particularly described in the Plans, Specifications, and Engineering Drawings for Navarre Water Project (1970LW-1) is necessary for the public good in order that the parcels shall be devoted to water -main purposes. 2) That the Village shall take by right of eminent domain for water main purposes the land described in the Plans, Specifications and Engineering Drawings for the Navarre Water Project (1970LW-1), and the Village Attorney be hereby authorized and directed to commence proceedings in the District Court of Hennepin County to determine the damages, if any, sustained by,,the owners. of the parcels affected by such taking. Adopted by the VillageCouncil of the Village of Orono, Minnesota, at a regular meeting held April 26, 1971. Louis B. 0 er auser, Mayor Attest:'FT ,--Ta-lph H.VMartin, Clerk -Administrator RESOLUTION #392 A RESOLUTION ORDERING WATER IMPROVEMENTS IN THE FAGERNESS POINT AREA OF ORONO AND DIRECTING PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR 1970LW-1A BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Orono, Minnesota, as follows: 1. It is hereby found and determined that notice of hearing on a municipal,. water improvement in the Fagerness Point area of the Village was duly mailed on May 12, 1971, and published in the Mound-Westonka Minnetonka Sun, the official newspaper of the Village, May 13, 1971, as required by Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429, and as ordered by this Council on May 10, 1971. 2. A public hearing having been held on said improvement on May 24, 1971, and opportunity having been given at'"such hearing to all persons to make known their views on said improvement, and this Council being fully advised of the pertinent facts, does hereby order the construction of said improve- ment.
