WHEREAS, the current expenses incurred and to be incurred in
constructing and maintaining the Improvement up to December 31, 1971,
have been calculated under the direction of the Village Council, and
said expenses have been reasonably estimated to be $1,072 and the
annual maintenance charges in subsequent years are estimated to be
$693.
NOW, THEREFORE " BE.IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF ORONO, MINNESOTA:
1. That the current expenses incurred and to be incurred
in connection with the Improvement -are estimated to -be $1,072 and
the annual maintenance charges in subsequent years are estimated to
'be $693.
2.. That all of said current expenses shall be specially
assessed that that none of said current expense.s shall be paid by the
Village (other .than any amount it would pay as a property owner) ,
and further all annual maintenance charges for subsequent years shall
in the future be similarly assessed.
3., That the asses-sment clerk with the assistance or under
the direction of the Village Clerk -Administrator shall calculate
the proper amount to be specifically assessed for the Improvement
against every assessable lot, piece or parcel of land, without regard
to cash valuation, and in accord with M.S.A. 429.051 and shall prepare
a proposed assessment roll which shall be filed with the Village
Clerk -Administrator and open to public inspection.
4. The Clerk -Administrator is authorized and directed to
publish notice on September 17, 1970, or at any time after the
assessment roll has been filed in the office of the Village Clerk-
Administrator,.of a public hearing on the special assessment, said
notice to be in substantially the following form:

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Council of Orono, Minnesota,
will meet in the Village Hall in said Village on Monday, September 28,
1970, at 7:30 P.M. for the purpose of conducting a public hearing
on the assessments proposed to be made against property benefited
by 1970SL-1, an improvement consisting of installation and maintenance
of street lighting. The area to be assessed for 1971 and continuing
each year thereafter, in or adjacent to the areas hereinafter described
as the areas proposed to be assessed.
The .area proposed to be.;,assessed for 1970SL-1 is
all situated in Hennepin County and described as
follows:

All that area south of County Road #15, Shore-
line Drive, bounded on the west.by Lot 2, Block
8, Langdon Park and on the east by Navarre
Addition, Lot 5, Block 1, Tillson's Villa
Carman, commonly known as all of Casco Point
except Casco Circle, all of Blocks 6 & 7, all of
Block 8, except Lots 1 & 2, Langdon Park, includ-
ing Registered Land Survey #660, and all of,
Tillson's Villa Carman, except Lot S.
The owner of any property which may be assessed for.special benefit
derived from said improvement may at the above stated time and place,
present oral or written statements for or against said assessments.

5. The Clerk -Administrator is further authorized and directed
to cause a copy of the above notice to be mailed to the owners of the
property=to be assessed not later than 10 days prior to the hearing
and in accord with M.S.A. 429.061 Sub d. 1.
6. The Clerk -Administrator is further authorized and directed
to cause a copy of the above notice to be published at least once in
the official Village newspaper and not later than 10 days prior to the
hearing, and in accord with M.S.A. 429.061 Subd. 1.
7. The Council shall meet at a time and place specified in
the above notice for. the purpose of conducting a public hearing on.the.
special assessments for the Improvement.
Adopted by the Village Council -of the -Village of Orono, Minnesota at
a regular meeting held September 14, 1970.-
