CITYof ORONO <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />NO. 8 7,2,3 <br />A RESOLUTION GRANTING VARIANCES <br />TO MUNICIPAL ZONING CODE <br />SECTION 10.03, SUBDIVISION 9 (D) AND <br />SECTION 10.28, SUBDIVISION 5 (B) <br />FILE NO. 2124 <br />WHEREAS, John P. Earling (hereinafter "the applicant") is the owner of the <br />property located at 2165 Colin Drive within the City of Orono (hereinafter "the City") and <br />legally described as follows: <br />Lot 2, Block 2, Kelley Green, Hennepin County, Minnesota (hereinafter "the <br />property"); and <br />WHEREAS, the applicant has applied to the City for variances to Municipal <br />Zoning Code Section 10.03, Subdivision 9 (D) to permit construction of a detached garage to <br />be constructed in front of the front line of the residence where the Code would require <br />placement at the front line or behind residence structure. The structure will be located 12' from <br />an unimproved road outlot where Code would require 50'. <br />Miiâ–ºnesota: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Orono, <br />FINDINGS <br />This application was reviewed as Zoning File #2124. <br />2. The property is located in the RR -1B, Single Family Rural Residential Zoning <br />District requiring two acres in area. The property consists of two -plus acres. <br />3. The Orono Planning Commission reviewed this application on April 15, 1996 <br />and recommended approval of the variances as proposed based upon the <br />follow',ig unique findings and hardships: <br />Page 1 of 5 <br />
