A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ACQUISITION
OF LAND BY EMINENT DOMAIN FOR
SEWER AND UTILITY PURPOSES
HIGHWOOD
WHEREAS, the Village Engineer has recommended the
acquisition of land for sewer and utility purposes at the locations
hereinafter specified in the Highwood area of Saga Hills, as set
out on pages 1 through 26 attached to this resolution and hereby
incorporated by reference, and it appears to the Council that it is
necessary that the Village acquire such lands,
NOW, THEREFORE,, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of
the Village of Orono:
1: That it is hereby determined.that'the taking of the
tracts set out in pages 1 through 26 attached hereto,:. designated as
permanent easements and temporary construction easements, is necessary
for the public good in order that said tracts be devoted to sewer
and utility purposes.
. 2, That the Village shall take by right of eminent domain
for sewer and utility purposes -,",the lands described in pages 1 through
26 attached hereto and the the Village Attorney -be hereby authorized
and directed to commence proceedings in the District Court of Hennepin
County for appointment of Commissioners to determine the damages, if
any, sustained by the owners of the parcels affected by such taking,
as authorized by law.
Adopted by the Village Council of the Village of Orono, Minnesota,
at a regular meeting held July 13, 1970.

WILLOW DRIVE
WHEREAS, the Village Engineer has recommended the
acquisition of land for sewer and utility purposes at the location
specified as the Willow Drive area.
