HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 328RESOLUTION #328 A RESOLUTION ORDERING SEWER AND WATER IMPROVEMENTS 1969LS-2 & 1969LW-2, (CHEVY CHASE AREA) AND DIRECTING PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS Councilman McCarthy introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: BE IT -RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Orono, Minnesota, as follows: 1. It is hereby' found and determined that notice of hear- ing on a sewer and water improvement in the Village designated as 1969LS-2 and 1969LW-2, (Chevy Chase area), was duly mailed on November 19, 1969, and published in the Wayzata -Plymouth Minnetonka Sun, the official newspaper of the Village, on November 20 and 26, 1969, as required by Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429, and as ordered by this Council nn November 10, 1969. 2. A public hearing having been held on said improvement on December 1, 1969, and opportunity having beengiven at such hearing to all persons to make known their views on said improvement, and this Council being fully advised of the pertinent facts, does hereby order the construction of said improvement. 3. William T. Mills, of Orono, Minnesota, the consulting engineer for'the•Village, is hereby authorized and directed to prepare final plans and specifications for said improvement and to submit them to this Council. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilman Franzel, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Oberhauser, Councilmen Butterfield, Franzel, and McCarthy. Councilman Searles absent. and the fol lowing_ vo ted ,agains t the same: none whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. STATE OF MINNESOTA ) ss.* COUNTY OF HENNEPIN ) I,.the undersigned, being the duly qualified and acting Clerk of the Village -of Orono, Minnesota, hereby attest and certify that, 1. as such officer; I have the legal custody of the original record from which the attached 'and foregoing extract was transcribed; 2. I have carefully compared said extract with said original record; 3. I find said extract to be a true, correct and complete transcript from the original minutes of a meeting of the Village Council of said Village held on the date indicated in said extract, including any resolutions F, 1 t (Resolution #328, continued) adopted at such meeting, insofar as they relate to a sewer and water improvement in the Village; and 4. said meeting was duly held, pursuant -to call and notice thereof as required by law. (SEAL) Ralph H./martin, Cle—YE7-Administrator Adopted by the Village Council of the Village of Orono, Minnesota.at a regular meeting held March 23, 1970. a ,'C ,Js J�1 0,10 Attest; //2 d`- Ralp H. artin, Clerk -Administrator RESOLUTION #329' A RESOLUTION REGARDING USE.OF FERTILIZER WHEREAS, Lake Minnetonka is suffering from nutrient pollution caused by the introduction of an excessive amount of nitrogen and phosphorous, and WHEREAS, the use of commercial fertilizer on yards and property within the Minnetonka Water Shed.District, and especially on property adjacent to lakeshore, tends to add to the nutrient pollution of Lake Minnetonka, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Village Council of the Village of Orono that all citizens within the Lake Minnetonka Water Shed District and the Village of Orono be encouraged to restrict their use of commercial fertilizer for the purpose of lessening -the nutrient pollutibon of Lake_ Minnetonka .and preserving its recreational value.
