HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 3111 �4 (Resolution #311, continued) BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the elevations and grades as shown in said plans and special provisions be and they are hereby approvedand consent is hereby given to any and all changes in grade occasioned by the construction of said Trunk Highway Number 10 renumbered as .Trunk Highway Number 12 in accordance with -said plans and special provisions. Upon the call of the roll the following Council Members .voted in favor of the Resolution, all four members present. Imartin, Clerk -Administrator RESOLUTION #312 A RESOLUTION ON HIGHWAYS #15 & #19 BE IT RESOLVED by the Village of Orono, that 1) It is in the best interests of the�Village of Orono and the Lake Minnetonka area that traffic be diverted around the lake and should not be encouraged to use lake area roads for commuting to and from Minneapolis and inner suburban communities:, and.-,. 2) That Highways #15 and #19 should remain two-lane upgraded roads with improved shoulders and with protected turning movements and not become -four -lane roads to encourage increased traffic to travel around and through the heart of the lake area. THEREFORE, we request that the County Commissioners and Hennepin County Highway Department abandon plans to make a four -lane road out of Highway #15 from Mound to Navarre and on Highway #19,from Navarre to Excelsior, and FURTHER, that.plans be developed at once to improve and upgrade CSAH #110, #44, and #92 to carry traffic away from the lake area and toward the north to connect to Highway 112 -and toward the -South to connect to Highway #7, thus avoiding piercir_g the .heart of Lake Minnetonka and disturbing the quality of life in and around the lake. WE FURTHER request that the intersection of CSAH #15 and. #19 in the Navarre area of the Village of Orono be provided with properly timed traffic lights (semaphore) to alleviate the problem of traffic control
