RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL

A RESOLUTION APPOINTING ELECTION JUDGES
FOR THE PRIMARY ELECTION
TO BE HELD SEPTEMBER 12, 2006
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Orono is required by Minnesota State
Statute 204B.21, Subd. 2 to officially approve the appointment of election judges; and
WHEREAS, the Orono City Council hereby adopts the judges listed on Exhibit A,
hereto attached, as the official judges for the September 12, 2006 Primary Election, with the
understanding that amendments may be necessary to the appointments in order to fill vacancies and
meet party splits.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
• Orono that the names listed on Exhibit A, hereto attached, are the official Election Judges for the
City of Orono, Primary Election, September 12, 2006.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the appointed Election Judges shall be paid
$8.00 per hour, and Head Election Judges shall be paid $8.50 per hour, to carry out their duties at the
polling place and to attend required training, plus shall be compensated for mileage to pick up
election supplies or to deliver election returns at a rate allowed by the IRS (currently $.445 per mile)
per State Statute 204B.31.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono, Minnesota, at a regular meeting held
August 14, 2006.
