Defendant: Brooke T. Nelson (0)
Offense: Fail to Connect to Public Sewer system
Summary of Proceedings: The defendant appeared at arraignments
the latter part of January, 1982. At that time he plead
guilty and sentencing was set for March 29 to allow him time
to speak with the City Staff about complying with City
requiremencs. On March 29, 1982, the defendant appeared for
sentencing, and the prosecutor learned that he had met with
the City Staff only on March 25 when he just came in with no
appointment. At that time the staff gave him information on
obtaining county financing. The prosecutor then recommended
to the judge that a sentence be imposed which would be stayed
until August 1 on the condition that the connection be made
by that time.
Disposition: Judge Stone sentenced the defendant to $300 and
stayed 5200 on the condition that the sewer connection be made
by August 1.
