OFFICER MARK TOMCZYK �
FOR HIS ,
TWENTY SIX YEARS OF DEDICATED SERVICE �
TO THE CITY AS P.OLICE OFFICER � . .
RESOLUTION NO. 5577
WHEREAS,Mark Tomczyk started w.ith the Orono Police Department as . �
an intern in September 1978, and was a member of the Orono police reserve . �
program from 1978 to 1980; and .
WHEREAS,Mark Tomczyk was appointed to the position of Police
Officer on November 17, 1980; and
WHEREAS,his years of service as Police Officer have been
characterized by exemplary dedication to providing the highest quality police �
service to the city and its citizens; and -
• WHEREAS,Mark served the community in a fair, respectful,honest,
trustworthy, and selfless manner; and
WHEREAS,Mark Tomczyk is retiring fionl his positioii as Police Officer
effective February 24, 2007.
NO�,7CHEREFOJRE,BE I'Y'�S0ILVEIi, that the Orono City Council
does hereby recognize and commend Mark Tomczyk for his exemplary leadership �
and dedicated service to the community as Police Officer. �
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED,that the Orono City Council does
hereby congratulate Mark Tomczyk on his retirement, and extends its best wishes
for a long, happy, and healthy retirement. � � �
