A RESOLUTION DECLARING A VACANCY
' IN THE OFFICE OF COUNCIL MEMBER
� OF THE CITY OF ORONO
WHEREAS, Orono Council Member Jim White was elected to the office of Mayor in the
Fall, 2006 General Election and will assume such office on January 8, 2007: and
WHEREAS, Council Member Jim White was elected in the Fall,2004 General Election to
serve as Council Member from January 1,2005 through December 31, 2008;�and
• WI�EREAS,since Council Member Jim White will asstune the duties of the office of Mayor
prior to end of his term as Council Member,a vacancy has been created on the Council of the City of
Orono,Minnesota, effective January 8, 2007.
NOW,THEREFOY2E,B�IT R�SOLVED that the City Council does hereby declare that a
vacancy now exists for the office of Council Member for the City of Orono,Minnesota.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono, Minnesota at a regular meeting held on
January 8, 2007. �
