AS MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL MEMBER
RESOLUTION NO. 5562
WHEREAS,Barb Peterson has served this community with distinction as
Mayor for eight years and as City Council Meinber for eight years; and
WHEREAS,these years of service have been marked by exemplary
dedication to the best interests of the community; and
WHEREAS, she has earned the admiration and high regard of those with �
whom she has worked; and
WHEREAS,tlle performance of her duties and responsibilities has been
characterized by distinguished leadership and excellent and constructive
contributions to the community; and
• WHEREAS,Barb is retiring from her position as Mayor. ,
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of Orono, does hereby express its sincere appreciation and gratitude to Barb
Peterson for her distinguished leadership and dedicated service, and does also
highly commend her for the exemplaxy manner in which she has carried out her
duties and responsibilities as Mayor and City Council Member.
BE I1C FUR'I'HER RESOLVE]D, that the City Council extends to Barb
Peterson best wishes for continued sticcess in her future endeavors and
encourages her to remain active in the community. ,
