A RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING
MIKE BROWN
FOR HIS OUTSTANDING EFFORTS AND CONTRIBUTIONS �
TOWARD THE CLEAN-UP AND IMPROVEMENT
OF THE BIG ISLAND PARK PROPERTY
RESOLUTION NO. 5540
�
WHEREAS, it is the City's vision that Big Island Park will be a serene,
historic,natural retreat on Lake Minnetonka; and �
WHEREAS,when the City acquired the Big Island Park properiy, the
property needed substantial improvements to move it toward the City's vision;
and
WHEREAS, a small group of people with the necessary equipment and
expertise stepped forward to accomplish the needed improvements; and
• WHEREAS,Mike Brown very generously contributed his effort and
expertise toward the improvement of the Big Island Park Property; and
WHEREAS,through his efforts, the property was made safer, more .
usable, and more inviting for the general public.
NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED that the Orono City Council
does hereby recognize and express its appreciation to Mike Brown for the
outstanding contributions he has made to accomplish the improvements necessary
to enable the Big Island Park to be available for the enjoyment of the public. � �
ADOPTED by the City Council of Orono, Minnesota at a regular meeting
held this 27�h day of November, 2006.
