RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL

� � � A RESOLUTION AFFIRMING ASSESSMENT ROLL AND
CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PROPOSED
ASSESSMENT FOR SEWER PROJECTS
LS-1980-1 AND LS-1980-2
WHEREAS, by a resolution passed by the City Council of the City
of Orono on August 11, 1980 , the City Administrator was directed to '
prepare a proposed assessment of the cost of construction of sanitary
sewers in the Minnetonka Bluffs-West Ferndale-Orono Lane-County Road 15-
Scotch Pine Lane-North Shore Drive areas, known as Projects LS-1980-1
and LS-1980-2 ; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has by Resolution #1193 declared the
assessment amount to be $1, 205,000 , and
WHEREAS, the City Administrator has notified the Council that
such proposed assessment will be completed and filed in his office for
public inspection, and
-- WHEREAS, the City Council has been presented with a report by
the West Hennepin Assessment District comparing the estimated market
values of the property to be assessed before and after install.ation -of
the proposed improvements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Orono, Minnesota:
1 . The City Council reaffirming the direction of Resolution
#1188 ordering a hea�ing be held on the 8th day of September
1980 , in the Orono Council Chambers, 1275 Brown Road South,
at 7:30 P.M. to pass upon such proposed assessment and at
such time and place all persons owning property affected
by the proposed improvements will be given an opportunity
to be heard with reference to such assessment.
2 . The City Administrator is hereby directed to cause a notice
of the hearing on the proposed assessment to be published
once in the Minnetonka Sun newspaper at least two weeks
prior to the hearing, and he shall state in the notice the
total cost of the improvement. He shall also cause mailed
notice to be given to the owner of each parcel described
in the assessment roll not less than two weeks prior to the
public hearing.
