RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL

A RESOLUTION TO AMEND RESOLUTION #1187
DECLARING COST TO BE ASSESSED AND ORDERING
PREPARATION OF PROPOSED ASSESSMENT FOR
SEWER PROJECTS LS-1980-1 AND LS-1980-2
WHEREAS, the City has received and opened bids for the
construction of �roject No. LS-1980-1 and LS-1980-2 for the
construction of sanitary sewers in the Minnetonka Bluffs-West
Ferndale-Orono Lane-County Road 15-Scotch Pine Lane-North Shore
Drive areas; and
WHEREAS, Resolution #1187 did not include costs attributable
to bonding expenses, included herein; and
WHEREAS, the contract price for such improvements and the
expenses incurred or to be incurred in the making of such improvements
amount to the total cost of the improvement of $1,205,000 , and of
this cost, the City will pay $0 .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Orono, Minnesota:
1. The cost of such improvements to be specially assessed
is hereby declared to be $1,205,000 .
2. The City Administrator, with the assistance of the City
Engineer, shall forthwith calculate the proper amount
to be specially assessed for such improvements against
every assessable lot, piece or parcel of land within
the district affected, without regard to cash valuation,
as provided by law, and he shall file a copy of such
proposed assessment in his office for public inspection.
3. The City Administrator shall, upon the completion of
such proposed assessment, notify the Council thereof.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono, Minnesota
at a special meeting held August 14 , 1980 .
