RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL

DETERMINING THAT SANITARY SEWER WILL NOT BE
PROVIDED TO THE PROPERTY AT 1420 SHORELINE DRIVE
WHEREAS, the City of Orono is a municipal corporation organized
and existing under the laws of the State of riinnesota; and
WHEREAS , Sewer Project 80-1 has been initiated by the City to
solve existing on-site sewage treatment problems in the D4innetonka Bluffs-
West Ferndale area, near which the property at 1420 Shoreline Drive is
located; and
WHEREAS, the above referenced property contains approximately
2. 9 acres of dry buildable land according to all information the City
has available; and
WHEREAS , it is likely that present and future on-site sewage
treatment problems on said property can be solved through the use of
on-site sewage treatment systems, therefore the property has been
considered for inclusion in the 80-1 project at the option of the owner;
and
WHEREAS, the property owner has been given the opportunity to
be served by the project and has not indicated a preference to be served;
and
WHEREAS, the property meets existing zoning requirements for
the 2-acre unsewered zone,
THEREFORE, BE TT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Orono, that the property located at 1420 Shoreline Drive will not be served
by the 80-1 sewer project. No sewer service stub will be provided to the
property and this property may not hook up to public sanitary sewer in the
future. Therefore there is no benefit to the property from the construction
of the sewer. Any on-site sewage treatment problems on the 'property will
be solved through the repair, reconstruction, or replacement of the
existing on-site system.
