RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL

DETERMINING THAT PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1410 SHORELINE
DRIVE WILL BE EXCLUDED FROM THE 80-1 SEWER PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City of Orono is a municipal corporation organized
and existing under the laws of the State of Minnesota; and
WHEREAS, Sewer Project 80-1 was initiated by the City to solve
existing on-site sewage treatment problems in the Minnetonka Bluffs-West
Ferndale area, near which the property at 1410 Shoreline Drive is located;
and
WHEREAS , said property has been considered for inclusion in the
80-1 sewer project only due to it' s proximity to the project area; and
WHEREAS, the property owner has been given the opportunity to
be served by the project and has not indicated a preference to be served;
and
- WHEREAS, the above mentioned property consists of two separate
parcels, the most southern of which contains approximately 2 . 25 acres
of dry land and an existing residence , and the northernmost of which
is vacant and contains approximately 6 acres of dry land; and
ti�HEREAS , the 'property meets existing zoning requirements for
the 2-acre unsewered zone;
WHEREAS, it is likely that any future on-site sewage treatment
problems on the property can be solved using on-site sewage treatment
systems,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Orono that the properties at 1410 Shoreline Drive, known as PINS# 02-117-
� 23 33 0008 and 11-117-23 22 0001, will not be provided with sanitary sewer
and are not intended to be included as part of the 80-1 sewer project and
this property may not hook up to the public sanitary sewer in the future.
Therefore there is no benefit to the property from the construction of the
sewer. Future on--site sewage treatment problems on the property will be
solved through repair, reconstruction or replacement of the existing on-
site system.
