RESOLUTION #1130
THE ROBERT L. SEARLES MERITORIOUS SERVICE
AWARD CONFERRED UPON
COUNCILMAN WALTER B. MASSENGALE
WHEREAS, the Village of Orono has individuals who con-
tribute outstanding service to the community to help achieve basic
goals that enhance and perpetuate the "quality of life" for the
residents of Orono; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Orono did establish the Robert
Lo Searles Meritorious Service Award, by Resolution #735 on Dec-
ember 13, 1976 , as a method of rewarding citizen contribution of
an outstanding nature; and
WFiEREAS, Walter B. Massengale has moved from the Village
of Orono and has resigned from the Village Council; and
WHEREAS, Walter B. Massengale has given outstanding
service to the Village of Orono during the past eight years having
served as Councilman; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Orono desires to recognize the
significant contribution Walter B. Massengale has made to the over-
all welfare of Orono,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Robert L. Searles
Meritorious Service Award be conferred upon Councilman Walter B.
Massengaleo
Adopted by the Village Council of the Village of Orono, Minnesota at
a regular meeting held April 14 , 1980.
