RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL

A RESOLUTION REQUESTING APPROVAL
OF YEAR VI CDBG FUNDING
Resolution authorizing submission of the City of Orono' s Community
Development Program to Hennepin County for consideration as part of the
Urban Hennepin County Community Development Block Grant Application, in
accord with the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended.
WHEREAS, the City of Orono has executed a Cooperation Agreement
with Hennepin County agreeing to participate in the Urban Hennepin County
Community Development Block Grant Program; and
WHEREAS, a three year Community Development Program and Housing
Assistance Plan has been prepared consistent with the Comprehensive Urban
Hennepin County Community Development strategy and the Community Development
Program Regulations; and
WHEREAS, the three year Community Development Program and Housing
- Assistance Plan has been subject to citizen review pursuant to the Urban
Hennepin County Citizen Participation Plan; and
WHEREAS, on February 12, 1980, the Planning Area 5 Citizens
Advisory Committee recommended approval of Orono ' s application and inclusion
of said application in the Year VI Urban Hennepin County CDBG Application,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City
of Orono approved the proposed three year Community Development Program and
Housing Assistance Plan and authorizes the execution of the application
material and its transmittal to Hennepin County for consideration as part
of the Year VI Urban Hennepin County Community Development Block Grant
Application.
