E A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION #286 ORDERING THE OWNER OF A
I
HAZARDOUS BUILDING WITHIN THE VILLAGE TO CORRECT THE HAZARDOUS CONDITION
WHEREAS., Melvin A. Abel, 6839 Pillsbury Avenue, Minneapolis, is the
j owner of record of certain real property 'located at 3567 Crystal Place,
within the Village of Orono, legally described as follows:
Lots 8'& 91 Block 3
Navarre Heights; and
WHEREAS, I'T appears that Margaret J. Bjork, Minnetonka Beach, Minnesota,
has an ownership interest in said real property; and
WHEREAS, :the building constructed on said real property has been
abandoned but has not been removed and there remains a building and
foundation which creates a hazarous condition;
NO THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED', that pursuant to Minnesota Statutes
463.16 the said Melvin A. Abel and Margaret J. Bjork are ordered to
correct the condition above described on .the grounds that the condition
- is hazardous within -the meaning of the Minnes ;a Statutes 463.15 through
463.26; and
- BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the said Melvin A. Abel and Margaret J.
Bjdrk are ordered to correct the condition by razing the_building and
filling in the excavated area within 30 days from the date this order
is duly served upon them; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a motion for summary enfotcement of this
order be made to the District Court of Hennepin County, State of Minnesota,
unless corrective action is,taken by the said Melvin A: Abel and
Margaret J. Bjork or unless their answers are filed within the time
specified in Minnesota Statutes 463.18;.and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Village Administrator and Village
Attorney be, and hereby are, directed.to prepare and`::serve this -order
and take all other necessary action in accordance with this resolftion.
and in accordnace with :."Minnesota Statutes 463.15 through 463.26.
Adopted by the Village Council of the Village of Orono, Minnesota, at
a regular meeting held October 13, 1969.
