A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE'MINNESOTA HIGHWAY COMMISSIONER
TO SET' SPEE•D LIMITS ON CERTAIN. STREETS IN THE VILLAGE OF .ORONO
WHEREAS, Minnesota'Statutes, Chapter 169.14', Sub. 5, provides that the.
Highway Commissioner may authorize speed zone signs within the Village -
of .Orono', and
WHEREAS, certain Village streets are in low density residential areas
and are ;main arteries so..that speeds should be set at higher than 30
miles per hour.`
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Minnesota Highway Commissioner is
hereby requested to authorize the posting of 35 miles per hour zone on
the following street:
Old Crystal Bay Road from County Road #84 to County Road #6
and the -posting of 40 miles per hour -zone on the following streets:
Watertown Road from Willow. Drive to County Road #•6
Willow Drive from County Road #146 to—county Road #6

WHEREAS, the Village Council of the Village of Orono, Minnesota has enacted.
.certain ordinances under Minnesota Statutes, therefore pursuant to Chapter 25.,
Orono Village Code pertaining to payment of Sewer Charges and -collection,
