regular meeting held January 27, 1969.

RESOLUTION #278
A -RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PRELIMINARY ENGINEERING REPORT
WHEREAS., on January 18, 1969, the West Hennepin Joint Planning Council
did.vote in favor of authorizing a preliminary engineering report to -
study alternate methods of sanitary sewage disposal for all the members
of the organization,
AND WHEREAS, the Village of Orono, Minnesota is a member of the West -
.,Hennepin Joint Planning Council and it is to its interest to receive
such a report to aid in its decision regarding ultimate sewage disposal.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF ORONO,
MINNESOTA:
1. The firm of.Mills Engineering Co. is hereby authorized
to proceed.with.a preliminary engineering report on the relative
advantages of alternate methods of sewage disposal in the member
municipalities of the West,Hennepin Joint Planning Council.
2. The total cost of the report shall not exceed $5,000.00.
3. The first part of th6•report.shall deal exclusively with
the relative costs of exporting all sewage from the Lake Minnetonka
watershed to the Southwest Sanitary Sewer District or the Crow River,
after which time the authorization to continue or cease will rest with
the...emmber municipalities of the West Hennepin*Joint Planning Council.
4. One -:half <of•=.the total cost of the report shall be divided
equally between participating municipalities and the remaining one-half
