A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND ORDERING ACQUISITION OF TEMPORARY
• CONSTRUCTION EASEMENTS BY PURCHASE OR CONDEMNATION FOR THE 1968
OLD CRYSTAL BAY ROAD IMPROVEMENT PROJECT (68SR-1)
WHEREAS, the Village Council has approved detailed plans and
specifications prepared by William T. Mills, for the construction of
the 1968 Old Crystal Bay Road Improvement Project, hereinafter called
'the Improvement,
WHEREAS, these approved plans require that certain temporary
construction easements be acquired in order to complete and construct
the Improvement,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Village Council of the
Village of Orono, Minnesota, as follows:
1. That the easements required by the approved plans
for the Improvement be acquired by purchase.or condemnation.
2. That the Village attorneys prepare a petition or
petitions for condemnation to acquire said easements;
that the Mayor of the Village of Orono is hereby
authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the
Village any such petition for condemnation; and that
the Village attorneys are hereby directed and author-
ized to commence condemnation proceedings for the
acquisition of said easements.
3. That the Village of Orono shall make compensation for
such easements as are acquired by purchase as follows:
a) Agricultural frontage 10� per front foot
b) Lawn frontage 25¢ per front foot
c) Trees and shrubs estimated value, not to
exceed $100 per tree
d) Other items estimated value
4. That the Village engineer be and hereby is authorized
to have Gordon R'. Coffin, Surveyor, prepare from the
plans and specifications for the Improvement and by
survey of the premises involved descriptions of.the
• various easements to be acquired in order to complete
and construct the Improvement.
5. That the acquisition of said easements by condemnation
or purchase is necessary and incidental to the completion
and construction of the Improvement, and that such acqui-
sition is for a public use as provided for and authorized
by law.
Adopted by the Village Council of the Village of Orono, Minnesota, at
a regular meeting held June 24, 1968.
