1. On July 12, 1977, a licensed contractor installed, under pemit no. 4850, a
new drainfield for the residence at 4520 Bayside Road. The site was tested and
evaluated by Hickok and Associates Engineers. The existing double ccnipartinent
septic tank wm retained with a new ccmcrete cover being placed theron for
safety. The installation was inspected and approved by n^self.
2. (ki July 13, 1977, a licensed contactor, under authority of permit no. 4851,
opened up for inspection parts of the drainfield area at 4740 Bayside Road.
This was the area wliere work had been done without pernit and without inspection
in 1976, The general area is now a garden and shows no signs of surface leeching.
Inspection of a trench where the area had been opened in February of 1976 revealed
the old trenching, but showed no signs of effluent. Inspection of a second trench
revealed washed gravel, cmcrete drain tile and some apparetitly clear water. The
existing installation appears proper, if not necessarily to all current standards.
My conclusion is that the septic problems at these two homes have been satisfactorily
corrected as required by City Ordinance.
