Investigation revealed ver>* apparent discharge upon the ground and flow into the neigliboring drainage swale. Tliere is an open cesspool filled to overflowing, covered only with thin boards. The tennant advises that the situation has been this way "since May". This letter is notification that the 2dx>ve described situation is in viola­ tion of the State Board of Health MAD120W and Orono Municipal Code Sections 82.03na and 82.050g • P«i)lic fihiisances endangering health and safety. Orono Ordinance 22.080 requires septic system maintenance and 22.040 i^uires that a city pemit lie obtained prior to any septic system repair. Therefore, please see that the necessary permit is obtained and repairs arc effected within 15 days or tags will be issued. This matter is independent from the similar situation at 4740 Bayside Road vrtiich has not yet beed shown to be repaired per State and City requirements. Sincerely, Olson Asst.
