WHEREAS, the recommendations of the village engineer have been''^
considered as have all of said bids.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Village Council of the
Village of Orono, Minnesota, as follows:
1. It is hereby found, determined and declared that the
lowest responsible.bidder for the work and materials
necessary for the construction of the Improvement is
G and L Cont., whose bid is in the total amount of
$115,088.90 for all sections lis`te.d above, that said
bid is in all respects in accosd:ance with law and with
the published advertisement forbids and with the plans
and specifications hereto fore approved by the Council
and lh.ead.-ffice of the village clerk;
and that the engineer employed by. the Village has
recommended that said bi'd is hereby accepted. ,
2. The mayor and village clerk are.hereby authorized and
directed to make and execute a contract on behalf of
the Village in accordance with the terms of said bid
when said bidder has furnished a contractor's bond in
the amount of its bid, conditioned as required by law.
3. The -clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return
forthwith all cash deposits, bid bonds, or certified
checks furnished by other bidders, and to retain the
bid security furnished by the successful bidder until
the execution and filing of said -contract and bond in
his office.
Adopted by the .Village Council of the Village of Orono at a
regular meeting held December 11, 1967.
