A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE VACATION OF. -SPENCER STREET
AND PART OF CHARLES STREET; NORTH"OF LYMAN'LANE
WHEREAS, pursuant to due and proper notice according ,to law,
a public hearing was held by the Village Planning Commission at the
Village Hall--.,-in-the Village of•Orono, Minnesota, on November 20,
1967, at 7:30' P.M.,CST, to consider the vacation of 'Spencer Street
and part of'Chaxles Street, north of Lyman -Lane) described as follows:
Lots -20 to 37 including Parcel 1001, Orono Orchards
WHEREAS, the Village Council has determined the vacation of
71 the said streets is in the best interests of the;Village;
NOW THEREFOR•E,- IT 'IE, RESOLVED that the above described
streets are hereby vacated.
:Adopted at a regular meeting of the
Orono, November 27, 1967.

RESOLUTION #209
A RESOLUTION TO EXERCISE THE OPTION TO
PURCHASE THE ORONO GOLF COURSE
WHEREAS,,
by document dated October 5, 1967, the Village of Orono acquired
an option.to purchase the, Orono Golf Course, consisting of
approximately 44.54 acres, together with all improvements
thereon for $150,000 payable over a five-year period•, and
WHEREAS,
at the same time the Village acquired a further option to
purchase for $5,000 all personal property used on the golf. y
{
course for its maintenance., and operation; and
rWHEREAS,
.upkeep
pursuant to Minnesota Statutes., Section 412.221, a resolution
was published in a legal newspaper in accordance with statutory,,jt,,.
requirements notifying the voters of said option and advising
them of their statutory right to require a vote on the matter,. ;
by a petition filed with the Village; and r
WHEREAS,
thereafter a petition meeting the statutory requirements was
f il.ed,•w,ith',,the •Village ; 'and
WHEREAS,
the question of the purchase of the golf course was submitted +1
to the voters at the regular Village election _ held ;
