Re: Deck Construction at 3820 Cherry Avenue, Orono
Dear Mr. Fischer:
On 9/25/87, Building Permit #199 was Issued to you for the
construction of a deck at the above subject property. A final
inspection was requested and completed on 1/1/88. An Inspection
slip with corrections was left with the neighbor who said the
owner was out of town end he was watching the house for her. Re
said it would have to wait until spring until the owner returns,
i *^000^ would put it on my calender for June 1, 1988. On June
2, 1988, 1 relnspected and found that code violations still
exist. The corrections are as follows:

Joist hangers required on joist at stairs.
Uniform Building Code Section 2517 (d) 3
Handrail must provide grippable surface.
Uniform Building Code Section 3306 (J),(see attached
handout)
inform you that corrective action must be made
corrections have not been made by this time, this
office may issue citations. If you have any questions or if you
