RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DONATIONS
WHEREAS,the city of Orono is authorized by Minn. Stat. 465.03 to accept donations of real
and personal property for the benefit of its citizens and is specifically authorized to accept gifts;
and
WHEREAS,the following sponsors have offered to donate to the city of Orono:
Sponsor Description Value
Kottemann Orthodontics cash $300
Orono Dental cash $500
Lunds and Byerlys cash $300
Orono Lions Club in-kind (grilling and event prep services) $1,000
Paul Kubista in-kind(firewood) $150
Total $2,250
WHEREAS,the donations are for the use by the city of Orono for the holiday tree lighting event
on December 7, 2024; and
WHEREAS, the donations are for the benefit of Orono residents; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is appropriate to accept the donations.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Orono City Council gratefully accepts the
donation to be used by the city of Orono.
FURTHER, staff will issue a letter to the donor acknowledging receipt of the donation and
expressing appreciation.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono,Minnesota at a regular meeting held November
25, 2024.
